My Trip to Utah

I saw Jerusalem.
I saw the statue of Jesus.  It made me feel happy.
My Grandpa told me how the artist made it with the face looking up, but didn't like it.  He didn't know why.  In the morning after the clay had softened the head was looking down and that's what he wanted.
I was happy that I read about the different things in history.
This is how they made newspaper.  It was really big.
This was a ship that people would travel on.
This was a bunk bed on the ship.  It wasn't very comfortable.  I don't think I would like to sleep on the bed.
We watched a movie.  It was about how they built the tabernacle in Utah.
These are the parts that held the roof together.  They used wet raw hide to seal the cracks together.  Those same pieces are still there today.
This is one one of the wooden nails used to build the roof.  I don't think it would be very easy to nail in wood nails.
It was a really good trip.  I learned a lot about the history of Salt Lake City, UT.

  2. What an amazing trip! It looks like you got to see and learn so much! It sure is nice that your grandpa got to be there with you.

Wouldn't it be fun if you could always learn about history by going on a trip?!
